Green County’s biggest celebration, Cheese Days, took place last weekend and the Monroe Truck Equipment crew showed up in hoards! As a mainstay in the Monroe community, we love an opportunity to celebrate our Swiss heritage and our hometown’s favorite cheese, Limburger–our crew was even a Wheel of Swiss Major Sponsor!
Cheese Days was canceled over the past two years, so cheese lovers across the state were ready to indulge in some dairy. In fact, during the last Cheese Days, Monroe Truck Equipment won Best Parade Float. This year, we worked hard to defend our title with our “grater” choice in truck equipment float. Our team members worked hard to build every element of the float, including the Swiss Alps, Swiss-style flower boxes, and a truck decorated like a giant cheese grater–complete with moving cheese! If you loved our float, there’s still time to cast your vote for the best parade float on the Cheese Days website.
Four team members also competed in the highly-anticipated cow milking contest. It was a blast to test their skills and speed in this uniquely Wisconsin competition.
In addition to celebrating Cheese Days with our community, we also unveiled our new logo that aligns our visual identity with our partners at the Swiss-based Aebi Schmidt Group. As a part of a Swiss-based company, we thought Cheese Days would be the perfect place to unveil our new look!
Our team and our community at large has seen a lot of changes over the past few years. Yes we have a new look, but we also have a renewed commitment to our customers and the residents of Monroe. We are beyond “grateful” for the continued support of our amazing Monroe community. We are already brainstorming ideas for our next Cheese Days float!
